Player

I made Bob
He exists by me
He is mine

My character was easy to make, and the haiku above has his general info.

Background

For some reason my paper prototype disappeared so I had to draw my background from scratch. It wasn't too hard, so I didn't have much trouble, although I wish I had kept the awesome graffiti drawing I made on the paper prototype.

Paper Prototype

Making a paper prototype is actually fairly difficult,as you have to consider all of the different things you'll have to draw and then later incorporate into your game. The good thing is that you can trace all the things you draw on the paper in the program if you take a picture of it and transfer it to Flash. But once again the difficult thing will again be programming. If everything goes well though I will be able to translate this to Flash without much work.

Plan Game Scene

The game scene is a skatepark with various obstacles that the player (named Bob) has to dodge. If Bob collects safety gear he can survive multiple collisions with obstacles. Every time that happens he loses an article of safety gear, and if he hits an obstacle while wearing no safety gear, he dies.

Mobile Game Idea

My idea for the mobile game I want to make is about skateboarding safety. I like this topic because it fits in perfectly with the side scrolling game because the player can control the skateboarder and collect safety gear while moving. He will also have to avoid obstacles that will take away safety gear.
